Granby is set to embrace global cultures with two upcoming events that highlight the town’s commitment to diversity and community engagement.
Celebrations Around the World
On Sunday, September 27th, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Polhamus Park will host ‘Celebrations Around the World.’ This family-friendly event will feature live bands, local vendors, traditional foods, and interactive activities for children, creating a vibrant atmosphere that honors various cultures. Community members are encouraged to participate as vendors or sponsors to support this multicultural celebration.
Hispanic Heritage Month
In partnership with Committee Grand Latin, Granby will celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month on Sunday, September 21st, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Polhamus Park. The event will showcase performances, cultural displays, music, food, family activities, and vendors, reflecting the richness and diversity of Hispanic cultures. This celebration replaces the previous Día de los Muertos event to fully embrace the broader Hispanic heritage.
These events offer residents and visitors an opportunity to experience and appreciate the diverse cultures that contribute to the fabric of our community. Participation and support from local organizations and individuals are vital to the success of these celebrations.
